The client was very pleased with the branding and animation design we brought to life. To meet the tight 3-week deadline, I also worked closely with the developer and a production designer to test different user scenarios in the process. We were able to overcome complex logic issues and develop a quiz with 27 customized results.
The Problem
The quiz posed a complexity in that it required us to display scores on each of the 9 industries' result pages. Our challenge was to enhance the quiz-taking experience by providing intuitive navigation, offering valuable results that contribute to customer retention. In addition, we were tasked with creating a distinctive digital branding that could be applied to their various campaign pages.

Solution
With interactive visuals we successfully showcased how Newsela turns news and latest content into standerdized student reading materials catered to every grade. Within the first year, there were 3 million increase in subscription due to the traffic through this microsite.
Newsela, an education technology startup with a strong focus on literacy, approached us with the requirement for a marketing page aimed at promoting their educational services to schools across the United States
Working with the content strategist, we brainstormed various interactive solutions to help viewers understand Newsela's competitive advantage. The client's primary goal was to highlight ease of use, so we incorporated a video and product demo to showcase the efficient product interface. Credibility was also a major concern, so I proposed a map with user scenario pop-ups to display how teachers across the U.S. are using Newsela.
By featuring a demo video we show how teachers can access a wide range of reading materials from popular publishing brands.
We chose a fun hip-check animation to demonstrate the benefits of the new digital reading platform over traditonal print textbooks.
An interactive map with pop-ups to show real case studies of how teachers are using the curriculum across the U.S.

The goal is to differentiate their new product, Custom Collections, from existing competitors. They needed a microsite with easy-to-understand visuals that speak to school administrators, while providing case studies and demos to demonstrate the value of the software.

The client utilized the visual direction we provided to design the PDF report. This white paper has received two awards: the 2020 Content Marketing Award for 'Best Use of a Whitepaper' and the Platinum Winner for Content Marketing at the 2020 Muse Creative Awards.
Egon Zehnder, the world's largest privately held executive search firm, approached us with their very first study of Chief Digital Officers to transform into an interactive website.
After workshopping with the client, we developed a visual concept using dots and lines to symbolize the talented community of CDOs coming together to share their wisdom with one another. To reduce page drop rates, I designed a red dot animation that continuously moves down the page as users scroll. Various hover states and popups were added to the infographics to entice users to hover or click for more information.

Our challenge was to extract key data and insights from the 24-page report into easily digestible digital content, while also using animation and interaction to help readers find key takeaways easily.
To show the significance of data, I designed a "why this matters" button with popups to reveal key summaries.
Blackmores Good Health Campaigns
They used to depend on a traditional agency for print and digital design, but the process was slow, and the results were underwhelming. Our challenge was to design and build multiple campaign pages within a tight deadline and instruct the client's marketing team to maintain and update them independently.

Previous Project: EgonZehnder CDO Decoded
Next Project: Tenable Halloween Ghouls
We began by establishing digital branding with the first Blackmores campaign page, 'Good Health Changes Everything.' This is a national campaign that Blackmores is launching alongside a TV commercial, so we believed it was important to use this as a foundational product page that could establish the look and feel for the subsequent campaigns.
Next, we streamlined the workflow by deploying modules from the first campaign into other product pages so that we could scale more efficiently. See how design modules were scaled and reused by clicking through the tabs below.

We began by imagining what a spooky cyber world might look like. What if, instead of a graveyard, the scene were set in a Tron-inspired sci-fi world? What if, instead of a haunted house, we depicted a tech company under attack? If security weaknesses were like ghosts, what form would they take? These explorations helped us develop a fun UI/UX solution for the game.

Our task was to brainstorm a game concept from the ground up, discover a distinctive art direction that bridged the gap between technology and the eerie, and craft an engaging, enjoyable experience that would resonate with their audience.
Tenable, a cybersecurity company specializing in vulnerability scanning software, approached us with a open-ended request for an interactive Halloween game to captivate their audience.
Credits: Production Design: Adrian Javier Scene Design: Chenwen Liang Producer: Samir Abukhodair Developer: Andrew McNally
The Halloween game became a hit among the client's audience, garnering thousands of inbound clicks from social media posts and marketing emails. This success enabled the client to engage with a broader range of potential customers at the top of the sales funnel. It was so successful that the game has been continuously reused and promoted every year since 2018. Last year, there was even a reimagined 'work from home' version, featuring a coder and his dog in his living room under attack by ghouls.
